CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy

The CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy gives you a chance to see how your calligraphy compares against national standards. Expert assessors look at your letter-forms, note where you’re doing well and give helpful suggestions for future improvement. Everyone who enters work gets a calligraphic certificate, your work is returned and an assessment sheet. You can send in as many entries as you want as many times as you want.

Examples

Here are some examples of the entries for January 2009. Be aware of the limitations of photography, and the fact that there are five aspects which are being assessed, so writing that looks nice may not always have letters which are well-spaced, or perhaps placed suitably on the paper.
