CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy

The CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy gives you a chance to see how your calligraphy compares against national standards. Expert assessors look at your letterforms, note where you’re doing well and give helpful suggestions for future improvement. Everyone who enters work gets a calligraphic certificate, your work is returned with an assessment sheet. You can send in as many entries as you want as many times as you want.

Deadline dates for the entries each year are 30th APRIL and
30th NOVEMBER.

Please send work to:
Angela Banks, CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy Administrator
18 Sea Lane, Hill Head, Fareham, Hampshire PO14 2NB

Be aware of the limitations of photography, and the fact that there are five aspects which are being assessed, so writing that looks nice may not always have letters which are well-spaced, or perhaps placed suitably on the paper. Click on image to enlarge.
