CLAS Honoured Fellows

Janet Mehigan

I was introduced to Calligraphy during a five year art training course many years ago. I was elected a Fellow of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators (FSSI) in 1998 and a Fellow of The Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society (HFCLAS) in 1999. I have been involved in writing and illustrating several books, co-authoring four with fellow calligrapher and friend, Mary Noble, and two as author. My days are spent as a freelance artist in Calligraphy, Illumination and Design, and teaching calligraphy and illumination plus drawing and watercolour painting. My work is in the Fitzwilliam Collection of Contemporary Calligraphy in Cambridge.
