Lin Kerr

Lin Kerr is passionate about art with words in it – words that sing a song, visually and harmoniously. She pursues gilding, bookbinding, water colour, printing, mixed media and sacred geometry. 

Lin has an honours degree in Fine arts and Teaching, City & Guilds diploma, and is a CLAS Accredited Teache and Fellow. She achieved distinctions in Gilding and Italic (CLAS) and has won awards in UK, Belgium and South Africa. She is skilled in Photoshop and grahphics programs and is a full member of Letter Exchange, the society of professional letter artists. She has two pieces of work in the Fitzwilliam Collection in Cambridge.

Lin teaches workshops internationally and in the UK to art and calligraphy groups. She has taught at many summer schools also demontrating at Art in Action. Most of her workshops have some art-content included to introduce people who would like to learn art techniques from scratch.

Lin currently runs a Red Letter Day in her Oxfordshire studio for a mixed ability group. See  Groups are invited to ask for workshops with their own brief.

Her artistic commissions range from lettering on walls to producing artworks with poetry and she also creates wedding invitations which can be viewed at
