CLAS Honoured Fellows

Patricia Lovett

I love letters and lettering, colour, gold, vellum, quills and mediæval manuscripts. I also love teaching and talking and have been lucky enough to have taught and lectured all over the world. I was the second chair of CLAS and an Honoured Fellow from its second year. I am now chair of the CLAS Academic Standards Board. I started CLAS Certificates of Competence in Gilding and Traditional Skills and have developed and taught others. I have worked for the British Library, the Crafts Council, Zurich, Tate Gallery, HBOS, Dulwich Picture Gallery, the RAC, etc. My work is in the Fitzwilliam Collection of Contemporary Calligraphy in Cambridge.

I run the CLAS Palæography Special Interest Group, write the Manuscripts Edge and have written the following:
