The Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society (CLAS) offers a range of resources, programmes, and opportunities designed to support and enhance the skills of calligraphy enthusiasts at all levels. Here’s a detailed overview of what you can access through CLAS:
CLAS Membership
Becoming a member of CLAS brings numerous benefits, including receiving four issues of the Edge magazine annually. Members gain access to special interest groups, the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and the Festival of Calligraphy. Additionally, members can participate in exhibitions and regional affiliated groups.
Regional Affiliated Groups
These groups provide additional resources and opportunities, open to non-members. They offer PLI insurance, access to accredited tutors, deliver workshops locally, and produce their own newsletters and exhibitions.
Special Interest Groups
Independent of CLAS membership, these groups offer newsletters and course listings. They are open to non-members, including the Copperplate SIG.
