Italic capitals don’t always get the attention they deserve. Often studied on a ‘need-to-know basis’ as an afterthought when practising the minuscule (lower-case) letters, we can forget how powerful they are in their own right. Here we’ll really get to know them properly in 4 sessions, with time to put them to practical use. We’ll cover writing rhythm, arranging on the page, combining large & small sizes, and simple use of colour. And of course it will prepare you for the CLAS Certificate of Calligraphy, if you wish to enter.
